Great trip – worth every penny!
This was an exhilarating experience! Our pilot was so
knowledgeable and our favorite part was the tallest waterfall. I highly recommend this tour. It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip to Maui.
Doors Off – why not?
Vince Carter was our pilot and the guy has skills. The most amazing views of cliffs, waterfalls and whales

Captain Kirk from Air Maui was awesome! If you have any fear of flying, he’s your guy! He’ll put you at ease from the moment you hear his very calming voice and his warm personality.

Thrilling Experience!
This entire tour was great from start to finish. Riding in a helicopter was a rush
(especially with the music during take off which took my mind off any fear and got the adrenaline pumping), the scenery was unbelievable and breath taking, and Nathan was a great pilot and super knowledgeable about the land and history of the area. You must do this tour! I did a single seat in the back of the helicopter and saw just fine.

The staff was friendly. Calmed my nervous husband before flying. Explained everything quickly, simply, and thoroughly. The flight was smooth. The pilot was knowledgeable. And the views? Indescribable! Like ab inside tour of the magic and mystery of the island.
INCREDIBLE!
If you only do one thing on Maui, make it a helicopter tour! Our 60 min West Maui and Molokai tour was INCREDIBLE! Our pilot, Cameron, was perfect for a helicopter full of first timers (including kids). His calm demeanor and vast knowledge of the islands kept us engaged, entertained, and the perfect playlist piping through our headphones added to the overall enjoyment. He also was able to circle around a couple whales so everyone could enjoy watching them from above! The staff at the office is very nice and accommodating, all around 5-star experience!
Fabulous
We were scheduled to do the flight yesterday and there was a huge accident that almost tripled our drive time from Kaanapali to the Heliport. Doors-OFF very graciously allowed us to reschedule to a new time in the week. Thank you! And I’ll write another review after our adventure!
Truly a Paradise!
The helicopter tour of West Maui and Molokai was both beautiful and thrilling.
Truly a magical place and will never forget. We were afraid we might get motion sickness but our pilot flew smoothly through the valleys and down the shore lines and it couldn’t have been more pleasurable.

Definitely do it
We were skeptical if it would be worth the money and I have to say it definitely is. You get to see a part of Hawaii that just would not be possible otherwise. While we were out we saw whales and dolphins. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but knew when to cut out and let you enjoy the views. It is a great excursion that will not eat up your whole day.

We booked this online from the company’s website. It is a very expensive excursion and if you want to discount a similar experience, I heard you could sit through a timeshare presentation for a discount on tickets to some of these types of companies. We went at 3 pm – last tour of the day. We were in a group of 5 passengers and one pilot. They sat me next to the pilot and my husband at the outside near the opening of the helicopter. The pilot Vince played music and narrated the trip through head phones. They take a video of the inside and outside of the helicopter as you fly and then it sells for $60 cash after the tour. I really enjoyed Vince he was friendly and informative. The ride with doors off was, in a word, thrilling! I haven’t felt so frigging excited about an excursion or an activity in a long while – it was insane to be flying over mountains, volcanoes, waterfalls, the ocean, whales, ranch lands, mansions etc etc with the doors off the helicopter. As the chopper leans and turns you feel as though you’ll fall out but it is very safe and gives you the most amazingly perfect view of the island that you could ever get. Why go whale watching in a rocking boat when you can fly over them and see them from above? I am so glad we booked this excursion.

AMAZING! If you’re deciding whether or not to do it, YOU NEED TO! Not only was the doors-off helicopter ride unreal, incredible, and breathtaking, the crew at Air Maui was awesome! Every single person was welcoming, happy and helpful! Vince was our pilot and I cannot say enough great things about him. He truly made the experience over the top! I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

This was fantastic, highly recommend. Pilot was informative and friendly. Entire experience out did my expectations. Warning, it can cause some stomach upset, recommend motion sickness medication for some people.

We did the West Maui and Molokai Special. It was one of the best things we’ve done in Hawaii. Our pilot was Dylan. He told us about what we were seeing throughout. It was so peaceful when we would go into a canyon and he would turn the music to just instrumental and slowly circle us around to see waterfalls. We saw a couple whales from above too! Seeing everything from that vantage point was such a fun experience. Would not hesitate to recommend this tour.
