If you would like to experience some Christmas cheer without the freezing weather, Maui is the perfect place to do it! With lots of fun holiday events as well as all of the amazing activities available all year, why wouldn’t you want to spend Christmas in Maui? Lahaina Banyan Tree
The Lahaina Banyan Tree, which is over 150 years old, is beautifully decorated with Christmas lights from until the end of December. There will also be various activities throughout December in the area such as holiday music, cookie decorating, snow play, and wreath making. Check out the website for more information.
Pictures with Santa
If your kids would like to get pictures with Santa there are several options around Maui. Queen Kaahumanu Center, Maui Mall, the Lahaina Cannery Mall, and the Shops at Wailea are all having visits from Santa at various times throughout December. Check out their websites for dates and times and other seasonal events and information.
Alii Nui Santa Sail
Sail with Santa while enjoying hot cocoa and treats. Santa will read a holiday story and take photos with guests. This event is available on December 19th and December 21st.
Christmas 5K Run & Santa’s Half Mile Keiki Dash
On December 19th at 7:30am join in the fun for a 5K run, 1 mile walk, or Santa’s Half Mile Keiki Dash! The keiki run is for children 8 years and under.
Jake Shimbukuro Christmas in Hawaii
Come and enjoy Christmas classics on the ukulele such as We Three Kings, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, O Holy Night, and I’ll Be Home for Christmas in addition to his signature classics on Saturday, December 18th at the MACC. Along with bassist Jackson Waldhoff and special Guests, singer-songwriter, Thunderstorm Artis on vocals, and first-call percussionist, Taku Hirano, Jake Shimbukuro is spreading holiday cheer this season!
The Reluctant Elf
The Reluctant Elf is a fun sing along holiday adventure. It is a family friendly event featuring some of Maui’s favorite performers. The cost is $25 for adults and $25 for keiki with a performance on Sunday December 19th at 3:00pm and a special sensory-friendly performance at 1:00pm.
Air Maui is closed Christmas Day, but we are open for the rest of the holiday season! This is the perfect time of the year for a helicopter flight.
